Hey lovelies! I’m so excited to announce that today is the first day of a fun little project that @brittanyluiz and I are doing together with many of our other lettering friends, from The Letter Lovelies Community ! The #96daysoftombow is a 96 day challenge where we will letter one color of Tombow Dual Brush Pens every day from April 8 to July 13. How exciting is that! This lettering experience is open to anyone who has Tombow Dual Brush Pens and wants to be a part of the fun! To participate, letter with the color each day and post it to your Instagram account using the hashtag #96daysoftombow .
The prompt list above can also be found on Instagram at @renmadecalligraphy and @brittanyluiz for reference throughout the challenge. What do you need to do to participate in the challenge? What resources are available to help you complete this fun project? Why dedicate almost 100 days to this? I’ve got all of the answers to these questions!
To participate in the full project you will need A full set of Tombow Dual Brush Pens. These waterbased pens are my absolute favorite, because they have two tips and can also be used as watercolors. Don’t have a full set? No problem!!! Participate with the colors that you do have. Don’t have time or waiting on your Dual Brush Pens to arrive? No problem! You can follow along with the #96daysoftombow hashtag, interact with others who are participating in the challenge, and post whenever you can.
There are tons of resources available to you FOR FREE on the Tombow USA website such as dual brush pen color tracker worksheets and lettering worksheets if you are just getting started! This challenge would be a GREAT opportunity to start lettering if you are brand new and want something to push you to practice. The color tracking sheets are so helpful! Inventory the colors you have so that you know what you still need and create your own color reference guide! My favorite freebie is the sunglasses Dual Brush Pen color tracking sheet! Isn’t it the cutest!!!?
Join in the fun to get some intentional practice in and connect with other creatives participating in the project! Challenges like these are so much fun and help you network with other letterers. Who knows, you may meet your next calligrabestie. Here’s hoping we see you during the #96daysoftombow!
